Salford City FC
We have developed a very good relationship with Salford City FC.
A variety of first team players have been in to teach our children about the life and demands of a footballer and we have also received some fantastic coaching led by Salford's captain Liam Hogan.
As a result of Salford's hard work last season, they reached The National League Play-Off Final and invited a number of our children to watch live at Wembley stadium in London. Alongside the chance to watch the game, the children were also asked to be the team's mascots for the day which involved walking onto the infamous Wembley turf.
It was a very enjoyable day for all involved especially as Salford produced a fantastic performance and went on to win the game 3-0 and enter into The Football League for the first time in their history.
We had a fantastic day and we also met some familiar faces.
We have also been involved in a number of competitions that Salford FC have organised, including:
- design a front cover for the club's official matchday programme competion
- designing a banner (this is now hung up in the stadium for every home game to show our support as a school)
